Ro Nita Hawes-Saunders is an executive leadership coach for women, drawing on decades of experience in business, media, and the arts to help leaders thrive with purpose and confidence. She is the former CEO of the internationally acclaimed Dayton Contemporary Dance Company (DCDC), where she served for 18 years and expanded the organization’s global reach and community impact. 

Before her work in the arts, Ro Nita made history as one of fewer than ten African-American women in the U.S. to build and own a successful radio broadcasting company, earning national recognition for innovation and leadership. A lifelong advocate for women, entrepreneurship, and cultural preservation, she continues to mentor emerging leaders and champion creative excellence. As co-host of Raised By Her, she shares stories of legacy, courage, and the wisdom that connects generations of women.
